The JP042 is a high performing yet attractively priced Bb Tenor Saxophone. This instrument has found a well deserved place both as a student model where is widely used in schools and also in professional environments with many players using them everyday in live and studio performances.

The JP042 benefits from excellent instrument design, with the beginner in mind but capable of a high standard of play, and is musically versatile with good tonal and dynamic characteristics. The instrument also includes adjustable thumb rests for improved comfort and high specification features such as abalone pearl keys, Italian leather pads and blue steel springs for better tension and reduced rusting.

All tenors come in a smart shaped case, upgraded mouthpiece kit and accessories. This instrument has found a place both as a step up model and also in professional environments. Play it and hear for yourself.

Our Take:

"As for the Packer JP042 series Tenor sax - High quality instrument that packs a real punch in the competitive entry level tenor sax market. Great bang for the buck and an even sweeter deal when you combine this with your favourite mouthpiece. Geared up for the beginner, but this horn can muster an awesome sound you'd expect only on more expensive saxophones".
